Patience in Islam
Patience in Islam
In all spheres of life, people have to be patient in danger, calamity, hardship and complexity. This is the teaching of Islam. Because, the believer believes that no matter how many crises come, everything comes from Allah. As a result, even when he is in danger, he does not show frustration and instability. Restrains one's language and behavior. Because he is a deep believer in Allah. Allah said in the Qur'an, "... there is no danger without the command of Allah." And whoever believes in Allah, He guides his heart to the right path. -Sura Tagabun: 11
Danger is a blessing for the believer. Because it forgives sins. If you persevere in danger, you will be rewarded. When a believer is in danger, he cries more and more to Allah. He expresses his helplessness to Allah. Turning away from the created beings, one returns to Allah. Throughout the ages, Allah has repeatedly tested the patience of His beloved servants. He has strengthened their faith by keeping them in boundless danger.
Islam thinks that Allah tests people with danger, who shows patience and is satisfied with Allah's decision, while who shows impatience and displeases Allah's decision. As the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘The harder the danger, the greater the reward. Allah tests a nation when it loves them. So whoever is satisfied with it, Allah will be pleased with him, and whoever is dissatisfied with it, Allah will be displeased with him. 'In fact, Allah has instructed him to seek help in all the hardships and dangers of life through prayers and patience. Because, in it lies the welfare of the people. The consequences of patience are admirable.
Islam believes that if a person is patient in the above sense, then perfection and success in his life is undeniable. Because, first of all, refraining from wrongdoing and sin is the only way to be saved from all kinds of evil and filth. Second, worship and good deeds are the only steps to success. Third, perseverance in adversity is the only way to reach the goal. Patience is a test in human life. There is good news for those who are patient. In this regard, Allaah says in the Qur'aan, ‘I will surely test you with some of your fears, hunger and loss of wealth, life and crops.... -Sura Bakara- 155-157
It is said in the hadith, "Whoever recites this prayer in times of calamity, Allaah will remove his danger and give him something better than what he has lost" (Sahih Bukhari and Muslim).
The believer can seek the help of Allah through this prayer to overcome the danger in the most difficult moment of life. Remember, even if they fall into temporary danger, their success in the future is inevitable. May Allah grant everyone the Tawfiq to be patient in all kinds of dangers in life. Amen.
